Richard R. Wilhelm
President & CEO

Mr. Wilhelm has over thirty years experience in hospitality, real estate, and finance. Prior to forming TRUST Hotels, he served as President and CEO of Island Outpost Hotels. He was President and CEO of InterBank/Brener Hospitality, a multi-million dollar asset management, consulting, and investment banking company. He has done considerable overseas work in France and Ireland, as well as the Caribbean basin (for The World Bank).

Mr. Wilhelm's background includes,

  • For six years he was President and Managing Director of the Plaza Hotel in New York City and directed The Plaza's $60 million rehabilitation.
  • He served for three years as the Executive Vice President and General Manager for Trump Castle Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.
  • The Waldorf-Astoria and St. Regis Sheraton in New York City
  • The Sheraton Universal in Hollywood, CA, CDG, Inc. (REIT)
  • Fairfield Communities
  • Las Brisas in Acapulco, Mexico
He attended Cornell University's Statler Hotel School Executive Management Program, Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management and Finance, and Ohio University's College of Business Administration.
